lighttpd forum lighty > windows lighttpd and fastcgi

I hear this combination does not work. Can anyone explain exactly what 
the problem is?

I have a fastcgi app written in C++. I cannot get lighttpd to 
successfully
call the application. It keeps reporting the IPC connection is an 
invalid
socket... The same application works under IIS fastcgi. Any suggestions?
