lighttpd forum lighty > rewrite for users - public access

Is it possible to grant access for user to write own rewrite rules?
Apache has .htaccess so everyone can create own rewrite file. Is any 
possibility to use files from home folder of user to create rewrite 
rule?

Now you should be root to write rule and reload server to make it 
working. How can I share it with other users? Giving them root is not 
good idea :P
