Can anyone answer his question? I'm interested too in this matter. It's
very important because many of administrators use this module to
decrease the traffic on the their webservers (including me).

Hi. I'm also very interested in this funcionality.
Could anyone write something like this for Lighttpd?
It's the only thing why I still use Apache on my webserver.

I have done little patch and mod_rpaf for lighttpd, but haven't tested 
it yet.
