Hi,

I am running lighty on NetBSD 2.1 macppc. The server seemed to work fine
until lately. I started having some problems with apache, it would take
a real
long time for it to serve a page. So, I moved over to lighty, but I
wasn't running any php on it. Since then, I added a site that uses alot
of php. So, I started running php with lighty too. Now, either lighty or
fast-cgi seems to stop responding sometimes. I have tried several
different versions of lighty, php4 and php5, but I still seem to have a
problem.

The fast-cgi processes didn't seem to be controlled properly with php4.
Running php5 I still have issues, but it doesn't give any errors or fail
to start. Also, when I start lighty for the first time after a reboot,
it will not do any php. I think that the fast-cgi sockets are not ready.
What I have noticed is that everything will work if I start lighty when
the server starts. Let it run a few seconds, then kill it with -9 wait a
few seconds and then start it again. Then php is running and everything
works fine. I would like to continue to use lighty, but I am concerning
going back to Apache.

Thanks,
Al
