I've Started Work on Lighttpd and Windows XP hoping to add PHP mysql and 
a Control Panel to the Mix Time will tell

Hi necrogami,

does that mean you are trying to port lighty to Windows XP? That would 
be some awesome news. Long overdue. Curt Hibbs will be happy. Maybe he 
can bundle it with InstantRails instead of the hefty apache.

Well its still going to be based on cygwin but not have the full cygwin
background im starting with a base ive found rebuilding for 1.4.8 and
some other things .. i'll keep replying and updaing with more info as i
have it

i keep getting 2005-12-02 22:41:59: (plugin.c.147) dlopen() failed for: 
C:/lighttpd/lib/mod_dirlisting.dll no such process

maybe i dont know im just trying to get a working distrubution at the

VC == Visual C

He is trying the package lighttpd with the cygwin libs into a standalone 
package.

ahh ok as im just comming into this project .. im not much up to speed 
on somethings i dont know what mingw is .. hah but ok anyone has any 
info drop me some text

With this binary, do I still need cygwin to run it? I'd like to run it 
totally without cygwin.

no but there are other updated versions check out the forum some more
